The Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program is now providing direct services to beneficiaries in Fairbanks! This expansion ensures that local families have access to essential support for their health and well-being.
Here’s What the TCC WIC Program Offers:
- Nutrition Support: Families receive personalized nutrition counseling at least twice a year, including anemia screening to promote good health.
- Personalized Nutritious Foods: WIC provides supplemental foods tailored to the specific needs of each family member, from infants to adults.
- Community Connections: Our team connects families to other health programs and activities within their community for additional resources and support.
- Breastfeeding Assistance: With a lactation consultant on staff, the program offers breastfeeding education and support. Infants can receive breastfeeding assistance, formula, and baby foods starting at 6 months old.
