The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program is an income-based supplemental nutrition program that provides food assistance, nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, and referrals for women, infants, and children.

Our Services
Your WIC Clinic is Based on Your Place of Residence

Nutrition Support: We provide nutrition counseling at least twice a year, along with anemia screening to ensure you and your family are on the right track to good health.
Personalized Nutritious Foods: WIC tailors supplemental nutritious foods to the specific age and needs of each family member, from infants to adults.
Community Connections: We offer referrals to other health programs and activities in your community, so you can access additional resources and support.
Breastfeeding Assistance: Our program includes breastfeeding support, with a lactation consultant on staff to assist mothers. Infants can receive breastfeeding assistance or formula, and baby foods are available for infants starting at 6 months old.
WIC serves people in the following groups who meet income guidelines and have a nutritional need:
- Pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women
- Infants and children up to their fifth birthday
You may already be income eligible if you receive Medicaid/DenaliCare, ATAP, food stamps, free or reduced school lunches, or are a foster parent of a child under 5 years of age.
Military Families: Only BAS and base pay are counted for income in most cases.

- Complete all relevant applications for you and/or your family and one (1) Family Information Form. (Available below in “Application Center”)
- Submit your application(s) and Family Information Form to the WIC clinic for your service area:

TCC WIC provides services to all of Interior Alaska communities, including Fairbanks.
To complete your enrollment in WIC, you will need to provide:
- Your Photo ID
- An ID for each child applying for WIC (examples: birth certificate, shot record, or passport)
- Household income information for the last 30 days
