Resolution SR 2019-02: ICWA/Family Advocate Position for Tok Native Association

WHEREAS, Tok Native Association (TNA) is made up of tribal members of the Upper Tanana villages who reside within the boundaries of TNA; and

WHEREAS, TNA requests help of their members from a ICWA / Family Advocate position in Tok; and

WHEREAS, this position will help families and foster homes in Tok during emergencies and long term; and

WHEREAS, a new rural position will help fulfill the goal of Tanana Chiefs Conference to create more rural positions, yet be beneficial for our members.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Upper Tanana Subregional Board requests TCC staff to seek and fund a new position in Tok for a ICWA / Family Advocate position.
