Tanana Chiefs Conference is looking for motivated individuals to join our health care team, while attending virtual classes weekly for 1 year to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Join our Grow Our Own” MA Apprenticeship Program and get excited about joining the health care field with paid full-time employment and hands on learning!
This is a competitive program and we will only be selecting 4 participants!

OBJECTIVE: Acquire exceptional education and hands on job experience while working as a paid full-time employee for TCC
- Fill open clinical support staff vacancies within CAIHC
- Learn how to successfully provide care for our patients of all ages from interior Alaska communities
- Paid full-time employment working in the health field, while going to school for free & learning hands on for 1 year
WHEN: Applications are being accepted now, with classes beginning April 2024. Participants will be working full-time at Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center as soon as they are accepted and cleared through TCC’s Human Resources department
WHO: Fairbanks community members with a High School Diploma or GED looking for a career in the health field.
What will you learn?
- How to record patient history
- Measure patient vital signs (taking blood pressure, heart rate and respirations)
- Give patients injections and/or medications
Will be a paid full-time position at the Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center
Working hours will be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
