On October 25th of this year, Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) assumed management of Gateway to Recovery, formerly operated under Fairbanks Native Association (FNA) as FNA Detox. In order to ensure that the detox program remains accessible for those who need it, TCC expanded operating hours for the inpatient withdrawal management program and it is now accessible 24 hours a day, year-round.
The newly extended hours offer Alaska Native, American Indian, and non-Native Alaska residents ages 18 and older a safe and supportive environment to withdraw with medical monitoring.
Gateway to Recovery’s mission is to help patients safely and comfortably withdraw from alcohol, opioids, and stimulants such as methamphetamines. They also provide referrals for continued care and in a safe and supportive environment. GTR can help patients meet treatment program requirements by performing behavioral health assessments, medical clearances, referrals, and completing applications.
