PUBLIC HEARING – Yukon Subsistence Management

Join the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Wednesday, May 7, from 4:00–6:00 PM (teleconference only) to discuss proposed special actions and salmon closures for the 2025 fishing season in the Yukon River drainage.

 

With salmon forecasts showing low returns for Chinook, fall chum, and coho, federal managers are proposing early-season closures and selective gear-only options for federally qualified users. Your feedback is important as these decisions affect access to traditional foods and cultural practices.
