The Winter 2025 Western Interior Alaska Subsistence Regional Advisory Council (EIRAC) meeting will be held February 25-26, 2025, at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge in Fairbanks. The meeting will take place in-person and via teleconference/MS Teams. The Council will meet to discuss subsistence issues and develop Federal wildlife proposals for the 2026-2028 regulatory years. At the meeting, there will be opportunities for public comments on agenda items and non-agenda items; written comments can also be submitted to me. Additionally, a special outreach session with NPFMC regarding the Chum Salmon Bycatch EIS is tentatively scheduled for the evening of the first day of the meeting. An initial draft agenda is attached. If your agency, Tribe, or organization would like to provide a report to the Council, please let me know by Friday, January 3, 2025. All requests for agenda items will be reviewed and decided on by the Council Chair at that time. You may also submit informational materials that would be of interest to the Council, even if you do not intend to present them at the meeting. The deadline for submission of agenda items is January 3rd, 2025. Document/Presentation formatting: • Meeting agendas are always quite full. Please limit your presentations to no more than 15 minutes, plus time for Q&A, unless otherwise requested by the Council. • All digital documents should be submitted in Adobe Acrobat .PDF format • Each document must be compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (which means that it needs to pass accessibility check in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC).
