Greg Patsy – 2022 TCC Operator of the Year

The water treatment operator is often an un-appreciated job, especially if the operator is doing well and there are no problems or reasons to complain about the drinking water. It is also an important job with the potential to affect the health of everyone in a community.

Greg has been the operator of his community water plant for many years. He has been on top of his Preventative Maintenance and sampling requirements that are important both for making safe drinking water and also for compliance with State drinking water regulations and best practice system points. During the past year with the failure of an old control system for the primary well he has continued to operate the system manually. This takes more attention and dedication than normally required with an automatic system. Throughout this time the system did not run out of water or have other secondary failures due to Greg’s diligence.
