2022 Annual Convention

The 2022 Tanana Chiefs Conference Annual Convention will take place March 14th-17th, 2022 at the Westmark Hotel in Fairbanks with the theme Innovate. Advocate. Protect Our Way of Life.

The meeting is CLOSED to the public. Due to the ongoing pandemic, in-person attendance is limited to delegates, alternate delegates, essential TCC staff and other pre-approved speakers and attendees. Those attending in-person are required to adhere to strict COVID-19 testing and safety protocols.

This meeting will be livestreamed to the public, however many portions of the meeting are expected to be held in Executive Session where the public view will be closed.

TCC Full Board Appoints New Leadership for the Organization

On March 17th, 2022, the Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) Full Board of Directors appointed Brian Ridley to serve as Chief/Chairman of the organization until 2023 to fulfill the remaining term of the previous Chief/Chairman. Brian Ridley is Han Gwich’in and a tribal member of the Native Village of Eagle. Ridley grew up in Eagle on banks of the Yukon River.

Isabelle John Celebrates 100th Birthday

On March 15th, 2022 Isabelle John of Tanacross celebrated her 100th birthday. Isabelle came to TCC’s 2022 Annual Convention and Full Board of Directors Meeting where the Full Board of Directors sang her happy birthday. Trimble Gilbert Honored as New First Traditional Chief

On March 14th, 2022, Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) officially recognized Trimble Gilbert of Arctic Village as the new First Traditional Chief of the TCC region.
