On Thursday, March 16, the Tanana Chiefs Conference Full Board of Directors, consisting of 42 member Tribes throughout the region, elected Brian Ridley of Eagle as the Chief/Chairman of Tanana Chiefs Conference. He will serve in this role until March 2026.
Chief Ridley had previously served as Chief/Chairman of the organization after being elected in March 2022 to serve the remainder of the previous Chief/Chairman’s term. Prior to that, Chief Ridley served as Chief Finance Officer of TCC for 13 years.
In addition to the election of the Chief/Chairman, two new subregional representatives were elected to the Executive Board of Directors. Chief Charlie Green of Louden was elected as the Yukon Koyukuk representative and Chief Herbie Demit of Tanacross was elected as the Upper Tanana Representative.
